Since then, Mardenborough has competed in various racing series, including Formula 3, GT3, British GT, and Super GT.He was a race winner in GP3, and also finished second overall in the Toyota Racing Series in 2014. He also competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing third in the LMP2 class on his debut in 2013 and helping his team lead the category for 14 hours the following year.

Ford had finally, and very publicly, beaten Ferrari. After more than 3,000 miles averaging speeds of around 130 miles-per-hour, Ford took all 1966 podium honors at Le Mans. Having slowed to accommodate the Ford finish decision, the Miles team finished slightly behind the McLaren team. Indeed, at the start of the race McLaren was one slot / space behind Miles. This was all unbeknownst to the Ford team. They were under the impression that Miles had won the race, but McLaren was indeed declared the 1966 Le Mans winner.
