Who did Verstappen replace at Toro Rosso?
In the week following the Russian Grand Prix, Red Bull announced that Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen would be replacing Kvyat beginning from the following round, the Spanish Grand Prix, with Kvyat returning to Toro Rosso alongside Carlos Sainz Jr. A member of the Red Bull Junior Team since 2010, Sainz signed with Toro Rosso in 2015, debuting alongside Max Verstappen. He remained at Toro Rosso until the 2017 United States Grand Prix, where he replaced Jolyon Palmer at Renault, having already signed with the team from 2018 onwards.After winning the world karting championship in 2013, Max did one season of single-seater car racing in Formula 3 before attracting the attention of Red Bull. In 2015 they gave Verstappen his Grand Prix debut at their sister team Toro Rosso–today known as Alpha Tauri.
