Is Lego 18+ hard?
They’re not 18+ for difficulty/piece count. It’s a marketing gimmick, as many adults buy and build Lego for themselves. By buying an 18+ set, it’s deemed acceptable by society, and people won’t feel embarrassed buying it (that’s how a lot of people will see it). They’re usually sets for display, rather than play. Unlike larger Technic kits intended for adult collectors, these models have similar piece counts and difficulty levels as the others, but the age restriction stems from Red Bull’s branding. A Lego spokesperson clarified why these two sets are restricted to adult consumers.
